Artisan Finalist Blog Hop-Day 9

Hello there!  We are winding down our blog hop, today I am sharing project number nine!  Thanks so much for sticking with us this far.  Today's project is my last card, and tomorrow I will share with you my other 3-D item.  Thanks to Amy O'Neill for sending y'all here.

Again, I am sorry for my wonky picture.  I took all of my pictures together right before sending them in, so by that time I was ready to be finished.

This card started out as a PPA design team card for the color challenge of calypso coral, baja breeze, and whisper white.  After I was finished with it, I loved how it turned out so I saved this one for my entries and made another design team card.

So have you guessed yet which stamp set this dress is from?  Grab your Rue Des Fleurs and take a look.  The corset, is of course the corset stamp, but the skirt is the umbrella with the handle cut off.  Some hand coloring, pearls and ribbons add some flirty flare to the dress.

Every special dress needs a beautiful background to show it off, and this is no exception.  The whisper white was spritzed with vanilla shimmer smooch spritz, then embossed twice, once with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder, then with the oval frame embossing folder.

The card base was made with a bunch of dotted scallop ribbon border punches that were curled on the edges, and everyday enchantment ribbon was attached to the center of each border punch.

I was playing around with the sentiment and trying to make it stand out.  I found that the blossom punch fit this border stamp from Creative Elements.  A scallop oval punch split in two adds nice interest on the top and bottom.

Here is the inside of the card, all nice and fancy.  Just perfect for a feminine birthday.  I can see this card recreated with melon mambo and basic black, wouldn't that be pretty?

Thanks so much from hopping over to see me.  I can't wait to show you my last project, it is by far my favorite, I look forward to seeing you then.  Hop on over to Amy Roger's blog at Amy's Stampin Creations to see the nifty project that she is sharing with you today.  I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Using the corset and umbrella stamps to make a dress is ingenious. I love all of the details in this card - great work!
