Artisan Finalist Blog Hop-Day 8
Hello there! Welcome to day 8 of our blog hop. We are on the home stretch, I have two cards and my last 3-D item to share with you still, so keep coming back to see the rest of the projects. Did you hop on over from Amy O'Neill? Welcome to you! Sit back and enjoy the rest of the blog hop.
This was my very last project that I made. I wanted to do an over the top 5x5 square card with a ton of layers and sewing. I looked around for a sketch and found a Sweet Sunday sketch that looked like it would work. For some reason, I didn't take too many pictures of this card, so I will show you what I have.
Summer Smooches DSP had just come out, and I wanted to use new fresh paper, so even though I had a scrapbook page with this paper already, I thought it would still be ok.
Flags a plenty decorate this card, in bright vibrant colors. I love incorporating sewing onto my cards, and I love how the stitching adds another layer of texture.
Since there was so much going on in the background, I felt a nice simple main panel would be the best for this card. Nice crisp white with pops of color just fit the bill. Some fussy cutting on the vase and brights buttons make nice flowers.
Sorry for the blurry picture! The whisper white ribbon helps to break up some of the patterns, and adds more crisp white.
I finished off the inside with pieces of DSP that were not used on the front. This is a great way to use up your scraps, since they are right there before you clean up.
That is all of the pictures that I have of this card, sorry! Hop on over to Amy Roger's blog at Amy's Stampin Creations to continue on with the Hop. Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
