Happy Thanksgiving!

Our family would like to wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!  We have been very blessed and are truly thankful!
Mackie and I made Tate a hat using a feather SVG which was cut on my Cameo, very quick and easy.  Tate was thrilled with it since he wanted to be an Indian for today's festivities.  He even took his shirt off to complete the look, silly boy.

Hope you are having a wonderful restful day!

Warmest Wishes

Hello there!  Warmest wishes to you all!  This week's goddess card for the Stampin' Royalty challenge blog is all about Winter.  Create something inspired by Winter, then head on over to Stampin' Royalty and link it up.

Old combined with new, last year's retired snowflake die, cut in silver glimmer paper is gorgeous.  This years Eastern Elegance DSP showcases it beautifully.

This card was hard to photograph, the snowflake gets lost in the picture, but in person, it really pops.  Silver ribbon, and a large basic pearl add shimmer and shine.

Both the DSP and the stamp set are really not what you would think of for winter time supplies, but with some successful cropping, the Blooming with Kindness stamp set, fits the season well.

There is a stampin' dimensional between each snowflake layer so it probably would not be the best mailing card, this one will be hand delivered or included with a package.

Thanks for stopping by today, I really hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving, and a restful weekend!  I hope you were inspired, enjoy.

Stamps:  Blooming with Kindness
Paper:  Eastern Elegance, sliver glimmer paper, bermuda bay, coastal cabana, and pool party card stocks
Ink:  Bermuda bay
Tools:  Big shot, snowflake die, circle punches, large basic pearls, silver ribbon

Christmas Sparkle

Hello there!  This is my very first Christmas card of the season, and thanks to the fabulous sketch this week at the Pals Paper Arts it was easy breezy card to make.  Take a look at the sketch that Margaret Moody created for us, grab your provisions and head on over to the PALS to link it up.

My favorite part of this card are the chevron arrows that were punched in the champagne glimmer paper.  I used the hexagon punch to make them but you can also use the chevron border punch and use the punched out pieces.  Cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon makes the best bows around.

Season of Style DSP features classic Christmas colors with a bit of baked brown sugar and crumb cake thrown in, sounds good doesn't it!

I love this sentiment that came in the November Paper Pumpkin, the font is fabulous!

This is a 5x5 card, which is fine since I have my handy dandy envelope punch board to make a special envelope for it.  Flat and easy to mail, but still very festive with the glimmer paper.

Don't forget about the Holiday sale, you can check out the savings here at my ONLINE STORE, but hurry, the sale goes only until December 2nd.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Stamps:  November Paper Pumpkin

Friendship Please

Hello there!  I have a photo inspiration challenge for you today, the Stampin' Royalty has a beautiful picture for you to drool over.  Pick what inspires you from the picture and create something fabulous and link it up, easy as that!

I definitely picked out the tiles from the picture, seeing as I have pinned those tiles for a possible selection on our downstairs bath remodel.  I am not sure if they will be the choice, but they sure are fun to look at.

My mosaic madness bundle with the stamp set, punch and embossing folder were a natural for this project.  I eyeballed the stamps after I embossed for a quick and easy background.  Coastal cabana and early espresso go together beautifully.

From my Heart stamp set is always a favorite, and die cut with the matching window framelits, makes a great focal point.

This would be a easy card to mail, not too many layers and embellishments, I can see this layout done with Christmas colors and stamps, it would be quick and easy to make a bunch of them.

Do not forget to check out the Holiday Sale going on now, my ONLINE STORE has all of the info and goodies, have fun shopping.

Stamps:  Mosaic Madness, From my Heart
Paper:  Coastal cabana, early espresso, crumb cake
Ink:  Coastal cabana, early espresso, crumb cake

Turkey Thanks!

Hello there!  I have pulled an old friend out for this week's Stampin' Royalty challenge.  The challenge this week is to make an item without using embellishments.  Now, I figured embellishments are ribbon, rhinestones, brads, etc, so I didn't not use them.  That is the beauty of the challenge, you can create your own take on it.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

A lot of you remember my ribbon turkey from years past.  I thought that I would update him using the bitty banner framelits.  I die cut crushed curry, soft sky, and some Sweater Weather DSP and used them as my turkey's feathers.  The body is the owl builder punch, with the ears snipped off.  It was fun and easy to do.

Give thanks!  That is what I truly believe in.  This stamp is from the retired stamp set Country Blessings that I have been hoarding all of these years.  It has a great saying and some very pretty leaves that I stamped in, you guessed it, gold on the inside!

I love the Sweater Weather DSP, just perfect for fall!

Speaking of fall, this is what we came home from Annapolis to, I really feel for Chris having to get out there and get those leaves up!  It's going to be a big job.

Mackie had a big high school sailing regatta in Annapolis MD this past weekend.  It was a gorgeous weekend, albeit a bit cold.  We were all bundled up all weekend.  The Naval Academy was across the water from where we were sailing, and the buildings have the most beautiful copper patina roofs, it was amazing, and inspiring to put copper in my backyard and "help" it to patina.

Yes, that is Mackie hiking in the last picture, it usually scares me to see her hang so far off the boat like that, but I am getting used to it... Maybe.

So, what do you think of the updated turkey?  Do you like the ribbon or card stock?  Drop me a line and let me know, I always love to read your comments!  I also used this week's Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration, gotta love combining two challenges!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Paper:  Sweater Weather, soft sky, crushed curry, chocolate chip

Good as Gold

Hello there!  Welcome back to a fun color sketch from the Pals Paper Arts this week.  This is a fun fall color palette, so grab your provisions, create something fab, and head on over to the Pals and link it up!

My new "neutral" has turned out to be gold.  I inked up my new Gorgeous Grunge stamp set with the new gold encore pad, and I am in love.  Voila, the instant glow of gold shines from your card, amazing!  The Blooming with Kindness stamp set makes a beautiful focal point, it's one of my favorites.

This is a pretty simple card, the gold stamping just adds a bit of dressing up.

And of course you need pearls with your gold....

This is a fun color palette, I hope you will play along!

We have a busy week going on here, Tate's 4th Birthday is today.  We painted a spirit rock for him at his preschool, he loves that it is "his rock" and has to look at it as we go by.

It was a family art project, all of us took part in the painting, Mackie did the spider, I did the 4, the happy birthday, and the webs, and Chris did the Spiderman face.

It has definitely been a fun week, our birthday celebrations seem to last about a week, and even though Mackie was sick for most of it, she still hung in there, and was a good sport.  Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired to not only try the colors, but paint your own rock as well!  Enjoy!
