Turkey Thanks!

Hello there!  I have pulled an old friend out for this week's Stampin' Royalty challenge.  The challenge this week is to make an item without using embellishments.  Now, I figured embellishments are ribbon, rhinestones, brads, etc, so I didn't not use them.  That is the beauty of the challenge, you can create your own take on it.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

A lot of you remember my ribbon turkey from years past.  I thought that I would update him using the bitty banner framelits.  I die cut crushed curry, soft sky, and some Sweater Weather DSP and used them as my turkey's feathers.  The body is the owl builder punch, with the ears snipped off.  It was fun and easy to do.

Give thanks!  That is what I truly believe in.  This stamp is from the retired stamp set Country Blessings that I have been hoarding all of these years.  It has a great saying and some very pretty leaves that I stamped in, you guessed it, gold on the inside!

I love the Sweater Weather DSP, just perfect for fall!

Speaking of fall, this is what we came home from Annapolis to, I really feel for Chris having to get out there and get those leaves up!  It's going to be a big job.

Mackie had a big high school sailing regatta in Annapolis MD this past weekend.  It was a gorgeous weekend, albeit a bit cold.  We were all bundled up all weekend.  The Naval Academy was across the water from where we were sailing, and the buildings have the most beautiful copper patina roofs, it was amazing, and inspiring to put copper in my backyard and "help" it to patina.

Yes, that is Mackie hiking in the last picture, it usually scares me to see her hang so far off the boat like that, but I am getting used to it... Maybe.

So, what do you think of the updated turkey?  Do you like the ribbon or card stock?  Drop me a line and let me know, I always love to read your comments!  I also used this week's Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration, gotta love combining two challenges!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
