Frankie for the PALS
Today's PPA challenge 116 card is a great layout by none other than Margaret Moody. I loved this layout, and think that I might plan on more cards, it is a wonderfully classic look. Take a look, then grab your supplies and play along!
Here is my inspiration for this card, this is Tate's trick or treat bag that he got last year. I have it as a decoration on a hall table until he needs it for the big night. It never fails to bring a smile to my face. I just think it is so cute for some reason, so when I saw that layout, I knew that it was time to recreate him.
The tasteful trim die would of been perfect for his hair, but alas it is one of the dies I do not have, so I had to make due with a large scallop punch and offset the scallops. The basic black cardstock was liberally covered in glue and covered in black glitter. Sure wish SU would come up with black glitter paper! Frankie was embossed with the stripe EF, and the eyes are punched with the small circle punch. The scar was made out of whisper white CS that had been spritzed with pearl smooch. The ears are the retired small oval punch, and the ribbon was frayed on the edges for a spooky look.
This card is rather large at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4, I needed all the space I could get to make each layer pop. A very simple card to make, but hopefully will bring a smile to your face. Thanks for stopping by, hope you were inspired, enjoy!
