Christmas in August

Here is the second installment of my pennant class.  A Christmas card!  This set is so versatile!  I never thought that I would make a Christmas card in August, but the stamp set & punch combo makes it very simple and easy.

So what do you think of the new Letters to Santa DSP?  I love it, it has the traditional red and green, but add a bit of blue, brown and pink and you have a very trendy color palette that mixes well with the vintage images.

The early espresso cardstock was embossed using the stripes EF, and a riding hood red scalloped edge border was crimped, crumpled and separated to make the medallion around the trees.  The whisper white circle base was sprayed with vanilla shimmer smooch spritz to give a little sparkle.  A pretty blushing bride knot is just the right accent.  The decorative label punch was used on the sentiment that was colored with stampin' write markers, it was layered on a early espresso decorative label, and a blushing bride modern label punch.  Two rhinestones were added for more sparkle.  Some more trees were stamped and punched for the inside to make just the right Christmas card.

I hope you were inspired by my card, and hope that it inspires you to start to think about Christmas cards.  The new Holiday Mini will be starting to circulate in the next few weeks.  There are some fabulous new items, but I am not surprised, I wouldn't expect otherwise!    The PALS blog hop is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9th, so please stop back to see what I have made.  Enjoy!
