It's Frosty Outside!

Hello there!  Today I have a fun project to share with you.  The Stampin' Royalty challenge this week is a picture challenge, so it inspired me to pull out my Christmas banner simply created kit and create a fun winter banner.  Take a look at the inspiration picture, grab your provisions and create something fun!

Since "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care" I had to find another place to show you the banner.  I wanted to make a "winter" banner to hang after the Christmas decorations were put away, so I picked out the word Frosty and kept it winter themed.  The blues and the snowflakes in the kit make it just perfect for this.

A big word of caution though, if you would like to make a winter themed banner, you will need to pick up this kit before January 2nd, since the winter catalog will end on that day.

I will show you a close up picture of each letter so you can see each little detail.

I used a bunch of different items on this banner, especially MDS and my e-cutter.  The festive flurry's were sized up and down to fit what I needed, then cut with the e-cutter.  I picked out a cute font on MDS and cut those letters as well.

I sponged the Bermuda bay and pool party on the banner's first, so I didn't realize how dark they would be, if I could do it again, I would make them a lot lighter, with just a hint of color.  The banners do take a few days to dry, so I think they still might lighten up.

Silver glimmer paper is definitely needed to help this banner sparkle, that and the silver ribbon are my favorite additions.
