CAS Flower

Hello there!  Today's card is my Goddess card for the Stampin' Royalty weekly challenge blog.  The challenge this week is a picture inspiration challenge.  Take a look at the picture, see what elements sing to you, create something beautiful, and link it up by next Tuesday.

I pulled out my crisp cantaloupe and went to work.  I am bummed a bit that the color did not photograph well, I must remember to use the daylight when taking pictures of this color.

I wanted to mimic the white on color look, so embossing was in order.  White embossing powder is lovely on color card stock, give it a try.  The Secret Garden stamp set has beautiful flowers, and this one was perfect for the card.

The white background is actually the shimmery white card stock, it adds a bit of shimmer to give this CAS card a little punch.  If you have not tried it yet, you should it is beautiful.

The honeycomb embossing folder gave me the texture that I needed.  I have never made a color on color card, and I was pleased on how it turned out.

A simple white stitched grosgrain ribbon bow, dresses the card up a bit.

I really could see this card made in all of the In Colors and grouped as a set.  It would be a perfect to package them up cutely in a little bag or box, and gift them.  I will have to do that!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Beautiful Sandie! I like the simple design and monochromatic color scheme. A set of these in different colors would be perfect or I could see this design used for a sympathy card too. It's just classic!
