Bee Mine Valentine!
Hello there! Welcome to this week's Goddess card for the Stampin' Royalty challenge. I thought at first when seeing this week's color challenge that there was no way I could make a Valentine's Day card, but sure enough, I did! Check out the challenge colors, create something fab, and link it up at the Stampin' Royalty!
I started this card with the bee, Tate is having a Valentine's day party at his school and I needed two cards for his teachers. They use a bee in the school logo, so I thought it would "bee" fun to make a bee out of punch art. Here are the punches that I used:
- 1 3/8 circle for the body
- hearts a flutter heart for the head
- 1/2 circle for the eyes
- Owl Builder for the inside eyes
- blossom petals builder punch for the wings (stamped with the Oh. Hello oval stamp)
- small heart punch
The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set, it fits perfectly here, and was stamped on a strip of summer smooches DSP. The ends were folded for dimension and flag cut. I also used the polka dot parade dsp and the scalloped dotted ribbon in melon mambo.
The melon mambo background was cut with a scallop rectangle die, and embossed with the honeycomb embossing folder.
Here is the second one that I made, I flipped over the ribbon and the DSP for a different look, the rest is the same though!
I loved this layout from the Fab Friday Challenge Blog, as soon as I saw it, I was itching to use it, this sketch showcases my bee perfectly!
I would also like to share with you Tate's school Valentine's. I was in a bit of a dilemma, because really what can you make for 2 and 3 year old children? Luckily Becky Roberts came through with a sweet owl candy wrap with instructions. Take a look:

This one is for the girls (and sissy) in his class. I made the boy one a bit more masculine. I still have not decided what the back of that one will say, I will have to take a look at my stamps. These are super easy, so if you have waited to the last minute like me, they are really quick to make.
If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
