It's Your Day

Hello there! Are you ready for a fun sketch challenge?  The Pals Paper Arts have a great clean and simple sketch for you this week, so grab your provisions, create something fab, and link it up for your chance to be a PALS pick!

Displaying PPA 260 Jul. 16

I decided to turn the sketch for today's card, you can do that, it is perfectly ok!

My two flags just happen to be Bermuda bay sequin trim!

Ombre is so trendy now, I simply took the It's your day stamp from the July My Paper Pumpkin kit, inked it up in Bermuda bay and just kept stamping without re-inking.  It's a simple technique that makes a beautiful ombre look.

Do you see those sweet little flowers?  They were made using the tiniest flower die in the flower fair framelits kit, just cut three for each color, roll them a bit, and glue together.

I also like to offset the large scallop circle punch, it just adds a little interest.

So where did the DSP come from?  It was in that same July MPP kit, but was used as an envelope liner, I just simply trimmed it to the size I needed.  The corner rounder punch was used on the card base as well as the dsp.  And the neat thing is that you can use another liner for the envelope for this card so it all coordinates beautifully!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Hello Sandie: I love your fun and festive card, those beautiful sequences really add sweet little touch of bling.
The Ombre sentiment looks fabulous, I've never tried this technique but I think I will give it a try.
Thank you for sharing.
