A Sea Street Birthday
Hello there! I have a cute card to share with you today. My Aunt had a Birthday on June 2nd, and I needed to make her a card. I had my new supplies waiting for me to use, so out came my FAVORITE new Maritime DSP and the matching Sea Street stamp set. Now, I know that these colors and stamps are not what you expect for a female birthday card, but I knew that I could put enough love into it for it to work.
I cropped my Maritime DSP so that this cute octopus was my focal point of the card, I just love him, and of course, he is holding a sailboat, how sweet.
As you know from previous posts, I am really getting into using vellum. I stamped my Label Love stamp in night of navy, then the anchor in real red. I attached it onto a piece of the Maritime DSP using the coastal cabana bakers twine.
I love all of the patterns in the Maritime DSP, they are just perfect for mixing and matching!
This is by far, one of my favorite new cards that I have made recently. I have been taking a bit of a stamping and blogging break, so it's nice to get back into the craft room.
Two of my favorite challenges are using this color this week, so make sure you play along with both! They would love to have you! Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
