Another Sweet 16!
Hello There! I have a fun card to share with you today. I know that I told you a while ago that there would be a lot of Sweet 16 cards coming up, I am sorry if it is overload, but it is what's going on in our life now!
This sweet 16 card is for Mackie's friend Haylee, they have been friends since 6th grade, so a special card was in order. Her party colors are black and gold, but I had to throw some pink in there, so out came my favorite strawberry slush. For most of my "special" cards, I make them bigger, this one is 5 x 6 1/2.
A quick word in MDS sent to my ecutter explained the card right away!
There are a ton of different items that went into the makeup of this card. The Modern Medley DSP was front and center, with some sweet accents from the Gold fancy foil designer vellum.
Do you spy a lot of gold embossing? I do, my absolute favorite gold embossed stamp from the Lovely Romance stamp set made and appearance. As well as the sketch alphabet and number stamp set. A bit of gold string from another kit dresses it up.
The inside of the card got the "left-overs" that didn't make it onto the front or the envelope, as well as my much loved gold sequins!
Of course I had to make a special envelope using the envelope punch board. More gold embossing and vellum, yummy!
I used this week's Freshly Made sketch for my layout, it was tricky since random or asymmetrical elements are hard for me, but I love how it turned out!
Tomorrow I will share the gift bag that I made to go with this card, so make sure you head back to take a look! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
