One Layer Wonder

It is definitely a true challenge this week over at the Stampin' Royalty.  My goddess card should say it all, ONE LAYER!  Just one layer of stampin' that's all, pull out your stamps and inks, and rise to the challenge!  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

You would think that this would be an easy challenge, and in some ways it was.  It was nice to pull out stamps and ink and stamp away on scrap paper.  I had about four different ideas before I settled on this final card.  There were about ten stamp sets and about eight different inks on my craft table when I was done, but it was refreshing to just rely on my fabulous stamps.

The new Chalk Talk stamp set that was in my demo preorder, seems to be a permanent fixture on my craft room table, partly because I LOVE it, and partly because we have been so busy as a family, I have not figured out what to order out of the new catty, shocking I know, I aim to get to that this week!

The Papillon Potpourri stamp set provided the sweet butterflies, stamped in strawberry slush, coastal cabana, and wild wasabi.  The distressed dots background was stamped in crumb cake on my whisper white card stock to add a bit of interest.

This will definitely be easy to mail!  I like how it turned out, and it was fun just to stamp, and not worry about which accessories to add.

Our weekend was a wash, we had such great plans for the fourth, but the weather had different ideas.  Two different times on the lake we got caught in terrible storms waiting for the fireworks to start, it was scary, but we pulled through ok.  So no photos of the fun sailing, instead I will share some pictures of Tate mugging for the camera.  Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy.
