Pretty Provisions for the Home: Festival of Trees

Hello there!  It's Wednesday and time for my Stampin' Royalty Goddess project.  This week's challenge is a photo challenge.  Take a look at this gorgeous picture, grab your supplies and head on over to Stampin' Royalty to link up your creation.

I love this picture, so pretty and festive!  I love Christmas trees, so when I came across this great blog Landee See on how to make paper trees, I started right to work.  I am not going to recreate the tutorial, since she did a fabulous job of it.  Click HERE to see it.

I made five trees in all, three big and two small using the beautiful Candlelight Christmas SDSP.  I found my wood pieces at the big craft stores, painted them a color close to very vanilla and set to work folding and assembling.

I used five circles on the big trees, here are the sizes of the circles: 6 inch, 5 inch, 4 inch, 3 inch, and a 2 inch.  I used my retired circle cutter, which was perfect.

Here is one of the smaller trees, these circles are a 5, 4, and 3 inches.
I punched a bunch of SU packaging material with my large scallop punch and used it as vase filler in the bottom of the trees, you can see the scallops peeking out.
A banner made with the Greetings of the Season stamp set was then stamped with the music notes wheel with crumb cake ink.  All of the pots on the bottom have a ribbon accent, either the real red stitched grosgrain ribbon or the 1/8 taffeta ribbon.
I really did not want to decorate the trees too much, I really like the CAS look. These trees are grouped together on my hall table. They are pretty sturdy, I found that out because Tate decided to play with them when I was not looking.
Mackie took this picture of Tate in front of our tree, he is really getting into the Christmas Holidays, and enjoying all of the Christmas decorations.
Here is Tate's partner in crime, Paisley.  Between both of them, I really do not get anything done at all during the day.  I love them both, but I am really happy when Mackie and Chris get home to give me a hand.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, if you have any questions or comments, let me know!  I love reading your comments, they make my day.  I hope you are inspired, enjoy!
