Always Heartfelt

Get ready for a fun new sketch challenge this Thursday, November 15th. Join sketch artist, Margaret Moody, and the rest of the Pals Paper Arts design team with this fun and fabulous sketch.  Post your card on the PPA blog on Thursday and show us your creation! Hope you'll join us!

This is a very detailed sketch, it really challenges you.  I originally was going to make this card a Christmas card with the Heartfelt stamp and a Christmas banner, but I decided to go this way instead.  I saw some fabulous pink and green Christmas wrapping paper, and immediately thought to try a Christmas card in these colors, maybe I will later.

The Heartfelt stamp is from the Layered Labels stamp set, I stamped once in primrose petals, then trimmed to a rectangle, stamped again with lucky limeade and cut out the oval.  You know me, I love pink and green together and these colors are beautiful together.

I switched over to the Affection Collection stamp set to make my greeting complete, Always Heartfelt.  The cutie little flag is a stamp as well, so easy to snip out, just follow the lines!  As usual, I picked through my DSP and found the two colors that I was looking for, the lucky limeade from the Summer Smooches DSP, and the primrose petals from the Patio Party DSP.  You can mix and match, in fact I do it ALL the time!

I felt that with all of the fussiness of the patterns, this panel needed to be plain, but not too plain, I zipped the edge through my big shot using my finishing touches edgelit, I liked the whisper white showing through instead of the primrose petals, so I shortened the base layer.

Have I told you lately HOW MUCH I love Stampin' Up! products?  I really do, I had a customer ask recently if I buy "other" stuff, and the answer really is no, I love how our products coordinate, from ribbon, to ink, to paper, to DSP, stamps to framelits, etc...

I have just recently had a peek at the new mini catalog AND sale-a-bration items, and let me say WOW, I for one cannot wait to get my hands on some of the great new items.  Would you like to get a sneak peek too?  JOIN MY TEAM now and you can get an instant peek!  I would love to have you, we have a very active group with some fabulous benefits, contact me today to sign up!

Here is Paisley sporting her sissy's sweater, it is cold here and the poor baby was shivering.  She is not sure however, if the sweater is worth getting used to.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
