Hello there! Today's card is a sketch challenge for Stampin' Royalty. I do love sketch challenges because having a pre-made sketch is a great starting point. Head on over to Stampin' Royalty and show us what you come up with.

Have you seen all of the washi tape that has been floating around in the crafting circles? I have, and I sure wish SU would come up with some. Alas, they have not yet, so I decided to make my own. I used first aid cloth tape and stamped my image on it. This is definitely a IRL card, you can see it much better. In hindsight, I should of mounted the tape on card stock so it would have more impact.

I used the long trim stamp from Rue Des Fluers and my stamp-ma-jig for good placement, I used not quite navy ink to match my card stock. This does take a bit to dry, so leave it to sit for a bit.

This center medallion has three different stamp sets! French Foliage, Creative Elements, and You're a Gem. You're a Gem is retired, but into my stash it goes, I will be keeping it for a while. The flower was stamped using the "rock and roll" technique. You ink the stamp in a lighter color, than roll it around in a darker color ink, for a two toned effect. I used river rock and baja breeze. The scallop circle is from the pennant bigz L die, and the butterfly was stamped then fussy cut. A large basic pearl for the center of the flower, and smaller pearls for the butterfly.

More sewing! I am really loving the sewing lately. The Paisley Petals DSP is also retired, but I just had to use it. I am patiently (not) waiting for my new supplies, so I figured I might as well use up what I have. Not quite navy and baja breeze are my card stock colors.

The DSP was embossed with my vintage wallpaper embossing folder for just a bit of effect. It ties in nicely with everything that is going on. I left the inside blank so I can use it for any occasion!

There you have it, another one in the books! Let me know what you think of my homemade washi tape, I really wish it would photograph better! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired today, enjoy!

I've always loved this DSP & your color pallet! Sadly, this will be missed in the new catty. I've not heard of your ribbon but have a fetish for ribbon! Would love to see more lace options & burlap SU!

I was also hoping the new SU catalog would include Washi tape.
