PPA 110 Halloween

Today's PPA challenge is a Halloween themed item.  I am the Featured Artist, so I have prepared a special card for your viewing pleasure.  I will walk you through the card so you can make your own.  So grab your Halloween supplies and join the fun.

Ok, where to begin, I will start with the wonderful new Halloween DSP called Frightful Sight.  There are great colors and patterns that are perfect for Halloween.

This is another bow technique, you score a rectangle every 1/4 inch longways and fan fold it.  Tie in the center with some ribbon and angle cut the edges, and a bow is made.  I also added some crimped scraps and curled the edges up.  The kitty was from the stamp set Batty for You, and was embossed with black embossing powder and layered on old olive.

The glitter ric rac strip was made using the scallop border punch.  Cut your piece to however long you need and 7/8" wide, punch one side, the offset the punch and punch the other side.  Before I punched, I layered an adhesive sheet on my card stock so that after I punched, the whole ric rac would be sticky.  I then applied the black glitter for a sparkly look.  It was layered on a crimped piece of old olive.

The triangle/square folded base is the folded frame technique from SCS, click HERE for the tutorial, I will show you my sample which is facing the correct way, I flipped mine over to the back of the frame and layered it with cajun craze.

Ok, easy right?  I have broken down all of the pieces, here is some pictures of all of the pieces that you need, just layer them up and assemble your card.

See, I told you it was easy when you learn how to do each element, I have done the design work for you.  Now I challenge you to remake this card, and I would love to see the results.  Email me a picture of your CASE, I know you can do it.  If you have any questions, just ask!  I truly hope that I have inspired you today and thanks for stopping by, enjoy!

Stamps:  Batty for You
Paper:  Frightful Sight DSP, old olive, cajun craze, basic black
ink:  versamark
tools:  simply scored, scallop border punch, paper crimper, black glitter, adhesive sheets, basic gray ribbon
