Happy Birthday Sheri!

Hello there!  Are you ready for fall?  We have a fall inspired color challenge for you over at the Pals Paper Arts this week.  Grab your provisions, create something fabulous for a chance to be a PALS pick this week!

Great colors, right?  My sister Sheri's Birthday is on Sunday, I knew she would like these colors.  I had to use my favorite My Paper Pumpkin Happy Birthday stamp, I just love it.  Cut with the circles framelits and layered with a circle punch, it turned out cute.

Lots of flag layers on this card, It was easy breezy with the banners framelits, I manipulated them to make them longer.  The large polka dot embossing folder helps to add details to my layers.

The background paper comes from the ever versatile pretty petals DSP stack, I really love that pack, and will know that it will be no waste!

Look closely here, you can see that the scallop tag topper was used on the sahara sand flag.  My go to ribbon, natural chevron ribbon was turned down and fastened with a gold metal button tied with gold bakers twine.  Love gold, but you knew that right!

Ok, here is my one confession, I pulled this doily out of my extra pieces bowl and thought it would work perfectly on this card, I was feeling quite proud of myself for using it, until after I glued it all together and realized I had used the retired gold ink pad to color it.... So, the alternative would be to use versamark and gold embossing powder to achieve the same look (ok, actually better since I have done this in the past and it produces a rich gold look).

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
