Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy

Hello there!  Thank's for joining me today, I have a fun challenge to share with you.  The Pals Paper Arts are hosting a sketch challenge this week.  It's a great CAS sketch, so there is no reason not to play along.  Link up your creation and you could be our next pick!

The new Amazing Birthday stamp set is, ok I am going to say it, AMAZING!  I love the variety of images, they work together so well.  Check out the die cut banner stamped in real red on vellum, fabulous!

This color palette of the Flashback DSP is fresh and fun.  Since I needed a masculine card, I chose the more manly of the patterns.  Some wonky sewing (on purpose!) helps to add interest without being feminine.

This whole paper pack is just a little bit distressed but not "dingy" which is a nice effect.

A matching envelope is in order.  I always use the crumb cake medium envelopes, they are super sturdy and can hold up to even the roughest mailing.

It's back to school time!  Mackie started her junior year of high school on Monday.  I have a picture of her standing by the door with her backpack ever since kindergarten.  One day (hopefully soon) I will gather them all up and do something with them.

I also used the Amazing Birthday stamp set to make Mackie a little bookmark note for her first day of school.  I used the colors of her backpack for inspiration.  Hello honey, rich razzleberry, and night of navy, they all matched very well.

We also celebrated my husband Chris' birthday, it's been a very busy week.  Check out Mackie's smile, she got her braces off a few weeks ago, we are all very happy with the results.

Don't forget two specials Stampin' Up! are currently offering:
  • My Paper Pumpkin subscribe and save 50% off your first two months using the code HALFOFF
  • Big Shot Bundle, Receive a free bundle when you purchase a Big Shot.  Have a Big Shot already? The bundles are discounted and anyone can pick up a bundle at a discount.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

I envy your stitching on the card! I can't seem to have good results unless I'm using fabric! Those backpack photos will look great in the scrapbook some day! I lined all of my kids' first day photos up when they graduated--wonderful memories!!
Such a cheerful card! I love the stitching...it really adds to the card :)

Sandie, your card is a great masculine card theme (LOVE the wonky stitching)! I try to use vellum more and you have reminded me why I should! But I really love seeing the pictures of your family along with your stamping story! Mackie is gorgeous, and though she might not appreciate it, she looks like a very lovely YOUNG lady, not like the "hot" girls that so many try to emulate. So sweet, Sandie!

Love this card, Sandie! So crisp and bold with the beautiful and dainty stitching. I've been meaning to pull out my sewing machine for a project and this definitely makes me want to do so!
