For a Sweet Friend
It's time! You know... for a new Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge! Here's what we're challenging you with this week:
Now get out your crafty goodies and create! Link up your fabulous creation to Pals Paper Arts on Thursday, June 20! Be there or be square (with diagonal stripes behind it)!
A lot of my cards, I make for my stash, but when I sit down and make a specific card for a special someone, I make sure to add a bit more flair, and try to customize it to that person's style. This card is no exception, it was made especially for my friend Ellen. We live in the same neighborhood, but really got to know each other when she called me about SU products, she is absolutely fabulous, and makes the prettiest pop up cards. She presented me with a totally unexpected gift, an envelope punch board that I love, so she needed an extra special thank you card.
I pulled out my brand new Eastern Elegance DSP and went to work. The new chalk talk bundle fit the bill wonderfully, so it is the focal point on my card.
A simple vertical cut, fold down the sides, add a pearl, and a little peek-a-boo with the DSP beneath is shown. Of course, don't forget the fun clay flower!
Do you love it yet? I do, the new chevron ribbon is divine, there are still a few ribbon shares left if you are interested. A cute whisper white bakers twine bow, ties it all up sweetly.
A special card for a special friend. I had to make a fun envelope using my great new gift, take a look:
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I really hope you are inspired, enjoy!
