Friends for the PALS

Hi Pals! It's time for another fun Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge! We have another great sketch this week from Resident Artist, Margaret Moody. To participate, just create a project, including the 5 sketch elements. Then link up your creation to the Pals Paper Arts blog when the challenge goes live this Thursday, March 21st!

I was challenged by this sketch for some reason, it seems straight forward and easy, but I found it a bit tricky.  So, my solution was to flip the sketch vertical, you can do that as long as you keep the same basic properties of the sketch!

Tea for Two DSP was my go-to paper today.  I wanted something soft and springy, since it's that time of year.  I pulled out so saffron and bashful blue to coordinate with the DSP.  I punched the circles out of the circle design paper and was left with a cool diamond strip of DSP, you have to be very careful not to punch though the circles, so that the diamonds will stay intact.  I then embossed a piece of bashful blue card stock with the square lattice embossing folder, glued on my DSP diamonds and I was done.

The side pieces were flag cut and sized to match the sketch, which were the quickest and easiest part of the card!

My focal point of the card is this pretty flower that was stamped first with the Daydream Medallion stamp set, then die cut with the floral frames framelits.  I crumpled and curled the lucky limeade flower so it would stand out a bit.  The friend stamp is from the Mixed Medley stamp set and punched out with the matching small scallop circle.

There you have it, a nice spring card!  I hope you will join us at the PPA, we love to see what you create.

AND, I would be remiss if I did not remind y'all that Sale-A-Bration is coming to a close, so make sure you check out the catalogs, then head over to my ONLINE STORE to get your last minute SAB items.  Don't let them get away!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
