Trick Or Treat

Hello there!  Today's card is my Stampin' Royalty challenge card.  This week's challenge is a layout challenge, which I love since a lot of the hard work is already done for you.  Grab your supplies and head on over to Stampin' Royalty and show us what you have come up with.

As you can see, I followed the sketch closely and used my labels collection framelits for the top of my card.

I then added a second smaller labels framelit after I stamped it with the new Toxic Treats stamp set.  I stamped it first in versamark, then heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I then punched a piece of scrap card stock with my 1 1/4 circle punch, layered it where I wanted a moon to be, and just tapped my more mustard ink pad over the exposed circle.  Then I used the circle punch and covered up the moon and sponged on some elegant eggplant for the purple sky.  I could of "fixed" the white circle around the moon, but I quite liked it that way.

This idea for the moon matting came from Angie Leach's Too Cool Stamping blog.  I love her tips and techniques, she is always sharing new ideas.

I used the fabulous new Halloween DSP called Howlstooth & Scaringbone.  I really like this paper, it has a bunch of great patterns in it.

The sentiment and the fences on the bottom are also from the Toxic Treats stamp set.  The sentiment was heat embossed again, and I dirtied it up by not using my embossing buddy and purposely letting the stray embossing powder stick.  Then I crumpled it up and attached a RIP snipped from one of the stamps.

Some elegant eggplant dotted scallop ribbon and some 1/8" black taffeta ribbon fits behind the sentiment well.

Thank you so much for your get better well wishes.  I am still sick (really tired of it), and have been to the doctor's once so far.  I am giving it until Thursday, then back I will go if I don't get any better.

Here is a cute picture of Tate playing on his slide, I can't believe I even got a nice smiling picture, he likes to make funny faces.  Thank goodness he is feeling better and did not get as sick as I did.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I have been working hard in my craft room, my PPA card is scheduled for tomorrow, and I will post pictures of my Christmas Ornament class on Friday, so a nice packed week for you.  I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
