Balloon Birthday

Today's Stampin' Royalty challenge is to incorporate buttons on your project.  Grab your supplies, including buttons, and head on over to Stampin' Royalty to show us what you got!

I searched through my new convention goodies and came up with the new You're Amazing stamp set and my Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP.  I wanted to make a more feminine card since most of my previous cards have been on the masculine side.

I tried to mimic the little banners on the balloons with the shape of the Happy Birthday banner, I really curled it, and folded the edges so that it would pop up.  The ends of the banner were stamped in versamark and pulled down for a curved look.  Here is my button accent, two rich razzleberry buttons were threaded with orange baker's twine and tied in a bow.  I like how these three colors, tangerine tango, rich razzleberry, and primrose petals all work together.

I stamped each balloon and embossed the naturals ivory card stock with the stripes embossing folder to give it a bit of texture.  A pretty easy card to recreate in a hurry if you need to.

Would you like to see some convention pictures?  I got back late Sunday night, and have been taking a bit to get everything together, I will probably post a few pictures each post so as not to overload you!  Here we go!

Room mate gifts for the sweet ladies Penny and Patty, who so graciously shared their room with me.

Product boards; I wonder if someone at SU saw my bow making video?  They look just like the bows that I did a video tutorial on.

Cute apples, and look at those balloons!  Love them!

This is our convention bag, so nice and roomy, with lots of pockets in it, and it has a nice wide adjustable strap.  I had this baby filled to the top each day!

That should be enough pictures for today, is there any pictures specifically that you would like to see?  Just ask, and I will see if I have a picture and share it with you.  I do think in the next few days, I will post a picture of my Artisan Finalist display.  We are planning a blog hop of artisan projects next week or so, so you will have to wait a bit for the detailed pictures of each item!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Well I'm just getting up from a long nap after Convention! That kicked my butt! I can't tell you how glad I am to finally catch up with you, I tried two days to find you and then to meet up with so many other "Pals Stars" including a conversation with The Mary Fish...well I just died and gone to heaven! Love you!
