PPA Birthday

Hello there!  This PPA sketch challenge #127 card means a lot to me.  Half way through the rosettes, I decided that I am going to make this card for my girl Mackie's 14th birthday.  It seems like just yesterday, we were bring home our baby girl that we waited so long for.  Now she is turning 14 and I don't know where the time has gone!

Here is the great sketch done by none other than Margaret Moody, she has really challenged us this week, so grab your supplies and head over to Pals Paper Arts to play along, the link stays open for a full week, so you have plenty of time to play.

This frame was just begging for some love, so out came the rolled roses in poppy parade, calypso coral, so saffron, and pool party.  This wonderful oval frame within the frame I saw on LeAnne Pugliese's Wee Inkling blog.  I changed it up a bit and made it bigger to suit the card.

Who says that "shabby chic" cannot have bling?  The oval frame was glittered up with dazzling details glue, as were the flower centers under the basic pearls.  A bit of soft suede was sponged on the edges and on the little dots.

The sentiment was made with the new SAB Elementary Elegance stamp set.  The stamp is top to bottom, but I inked it with a poppy parade marker and did some creative stamping to get it all in a row.  Another cutie flower anchors the pennant.  You can also see here how I used just one piece of Attic Boutique DSP for my background, but since the soft suede stripes go all the way down it appears to be different paper.

Here is a brand new technique that I came up with using the new adorning accents edgelets dies.  I did make a video on how to make this piece of prettiness, but alas I am having some technical difficulties.  The A/V guy (my husband) is working on it and I hope to get it posted in the next day.  So I have to say that you will have to come back and check it out.  Remember, all of these wonderful supplies are available in my ONLINE STORE 24/7.  Thanks for stopping by, hope you were inspired, enjoy!
