Pretty Purses

I had a stamp class last week and we made some great Beyond the Garden cards.  They turned out so pretty.  The final item of the class was to make a purse to hold the cards.  Everyone was given their choice of colors and flowers and here is how two of the finished products turned out.

This is Becki's purse, and she picked a Chocolate Chip base with Tempting Turquoise trim and flowers.  The flowers where cut using the Fun Flowers Die, and embossed with the Square Lattice EF.  The scrunchy ribbon was from my retired ribbon stash, and it just seemed perfect for this project.

This is my purse that I made for a sample, the base is Pink Pirouette with Wild Wasabi trim.  The new triple blossom punch made the flowers, and the possibilities are endless.  They are topped off with basic rhinestones, and the trim part was embossed with the Framed Tulips EFRetired Wild Wasabi ribbon came in handy for the handles.

This pattern for the purse was purchased from Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho, she has wonderful easy to use templates, I highly recommend them.

They are large enough to hold the standard size cards, or you can use it for a gift bag.  I have mine temporary taped for now, so if I need to bring the sides in or take them out I can do so.  Hope you were inspired to make your own purse, enjoy!
