Mojo Monday 194

Ok, I know that today is Friday, and the challenge came out on Monday.  I have been thinking about what to do on this card, and after my sneak peak at the brand new SU catalog, I was really inspired by a new Suite of items called Big Top.  This whole set is on my wish list, and I do believe that it will be the theme for Tate's second birthday in November.

The colors for the Big Top suite are very similar to the ones I chose for my card.  My card has Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Old Olive and Whisper White.

The hot air balloon is about six of the DSP punches in the large oval punch.  I am sorry to say that every piece of DSP is from a different retired pack, I searched through all of my old DSP to come up with the colors and prints that I thought would look good.  Since the backside was different, I just glued two ovals together so I can get the prints that I needed.  I then punched two ovals in Real Red, sniped a bit of each off and used them as a base layer.  The balloon is held on to the basket with baker's twine, and the basket is paper pieced from the Sweet Center stamp set.

The sentiment is from the Four Frames stamp set, and layered on Real Red CS.  A modern label punch stamped with the Create a Cupcake stamp set is layered on top.  A Daffodil Delight button is threaded with more bakers twine for just a little extra pop.

The inside is CAS again, already stamped and ready to sign.  The base card is Whisper White CS, and the bits of Tempting Turquoise stripes have been embossed with the Square Lattice EF.  The stripes are a bit under 3/4 inch and have a 3/4 inch circle at the bottom.

I hope you all are inspired to create with paper this weekend.  I have a few posts in the wings waiting for you to enjoy, so check back when you can!  Enjoy.
