Pals Paper Arts 97

Hello!  This weeks PPA 97 challenge is "Signature Style", and can you guess what my signature style is?  Flowers of course!  I also love to do different cards, and 3D, so I combined all of my favorites into one card.

Ok, lets start first with the flower.  I love to make them and look for inspiration everywhere, in my garden, on shoes, home decor, online, etc.  The inspiration for this flower came from Valita's Designs, you can click here to watch the tutorial.  I made the flower using the builder punch Build a Blossom, which is a carryover item and Mambo Melon CS.  It took 25 big flower punches and about 15 small flower punches to make the flower.  I then punched some leaves in Garden Green, and rolled a piece of paper for the stem to give it some weight.

The flower was layered in the pink and green DSP from Beyond the Garden, and layered on a Wild Wasabi CS base.  The side panels were leftover melon mambo that had been embossed with the Square Lattice EF.  Other than the flower it is a very easy card, and the flower is not hard, just time consuming.

Ok, on to the card style which is a Center Step Card, you can click here for the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers.  Splitcoast is a wonderful site, if you have not checked them out, please do so, you will not be disappointed!

The simple white satin ribbon was topped of with the Tiny Tags stamp set and punch, tied in a little bow using baker's twine.  Love the effect both of both of these items.

The inside is CAS, since the outside had so much impact.  This definitely will not be a mailing card, but a card that will go in a gift bag, maybe wrapped in tissue.  Even without the flower, it is a larger card.

So what do you think?  Did I represent my specialty good?  I love making flowers and hope you are inspired by today's card!  All the above items are available in my online store, and my baker's twine promo goes until next week, so click on the shop with me button.  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!
