PPA 93
Here is my PPA 93 challenge card. This week's challenge is a wedding card. I went online to see what the trendy colors are for weddings this season, and they are Honeysuckle (pink) and Tangerine. So immediately I pulled out my Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango and went to work. Here is what I came up with:
I waited until Friday for my shipment of Melon Mambo embossing powder to come in, and tried it out, but it turned out whitish on the Melon mambo CS. So I just reverted to my handy versamark and clear embossing powder. It gave me the look I was going for. I used the big stamp from the Bliss set, it is so pretty. Also, the white CS is spritzed heavily in Pearl smooch spritz, but it is difficult to see. I layered the pink on whisper white CS that had been embossed with the vintage wallpaper EF, and layered that on a tangerine tango base. The black ribbon is the only non SU item, but felt that the black and white made a great punch of color.
The flower is quilled, I love this look and plan to incorporate more of them in my future cards. The tiny tags were fixed under the button for a little bit of cuteness!
On a sad note, my giraffe card is sitting on my desk waiting to be fixed. My son Tate got away from me and I heard a "OHHHH WWEEEEE" and before I could get a hold of him, he tore the giraffe off the card and went running away with it! It is a quick fix, but it will be OK. Today I made him his own Elmo, and will have it laminated for him so he can play with it all he wants. Guess I will have to do a giraffe for him as well. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!
