Mojo 190
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the very kind comments that were left on yesterday's blog hop post, I love them all! Second of all, I would like to welcome all of my new readers! I am glad your here, and can't wait to share some great ideas with you!
Now on to business! Here is my Mojo Monday 190 card. My husband's friend at work just had a baby girl so I needed to make a card. I was inspired by the baby giraffe card that Linda at Linda's Stampin Loft did, check out her site for the link to the tutorial. This is the same baby giraffe that my daughter did for my Mother's Day card, but I modified it for the Mojo sketch.
This is a standard sized card, I used the Sweet Stitches DSP, which has my favorite pink and green combo for the background paper and sent it through my Finial Press embossing folder (EF) to give it some nice texture. I then layered the ovals which were cut using an oval sizzix die, on the DSP and placed it all on textured Wild Wasabi CS. The pompom trim in Melon Mambo was used as my ribbon, and a scrunchy rose and flowers gave it a nice accent. The decorative label punch was punched down to make a nice mat for my sentiment, which is stamped using the Something to Celebrate set. The little giraffe took the longest time, but really not at all that long.
When I showed my husband, he thought it was a bit "busy" was his words, and I said OOOOOKKKKK, but that was the sketch..., LOL, he just doesn't get it. So what do you think about this card? Leave me a comment, as I love to hear from you!
