Amour for You!

Hello there!  Today's card is my goddess card for the Stampin' Royalty blog.  This week's challenge is MOM cards, so grab your supplies, create something MOM like, and head on over to the Stampin' Royalty to link it up.

My mom is gone, she passed away two years ago in June, so I could not make a "mom" card, instead I thought of my beloved Aunt, and will send this card to her for her birthday in June.  Both my parents and Chris' parents are gone, we feel a huge loss, missing them so much, so if you still have your mom, just love her while you can.

I used the retiring Artistic Etchings stamp set for this sentiment, if it is one of your favorites, grab it before it is retired.

This lovely crown is also from the Artistic Etching stamp set as well.  I heat embossed it with pool party embossing powder.  I was very happy with the results.  Pool party is a lighter color so I was not sure how it would emboss, but it did work beautifully.  Add a bit of pearls for accent, a scallop circle punch and you're good.

I love the patterns in the More Amore SDSP, it has great colors and prints, not just for valentines day.  I snipped the heart from the sheet of laser cuts, the flags were cut from this pack as well, with the exception for the pool party flag, that was cut from the Comfort Cafe DSP.

Does the layout look familiar?  It is this week's sketch at The Paper Player's blog, so here are two great reasons to grab your supplies and create something fabulous!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy.

Sandie - Your card is beautiful, and I love your use of More Amore here. I put mine away after Valentine's Day, but you've inspired me to pull it back out for one last "hoorah". Thanks for playing with The Paper Players this week.
