My Very First MDS Invite

I have seen many, many beautiful projects done with SU's My Digital Studio, and I finally went ahead and got it during the last promo that we offered.  With everything going on for the last few months, I have not had a chance to play with it.  So when I started thinking about invites to Mackie's party, I thought that I would buckle down and try it out.

Do you recognize the main image?  It is the stamp from the upcoming SAB set Elementary Elegance.  The nice thing about MDS is that you can size the stamps anyway you would like.  I thought it would be neat just like this on a regular size card base.  I printed out two on a full sheet of card stock so that I would have a bunch of room to figure out what to do.

After printing them out I thought that I would try to cut one out with the second to largest label framelet.  I then cut the largest label out for the base.  They are all supposed to be on a black base, but GASP, I ran out of basic black cardstock, so we have just one wisteria wonder invite.  The base cardstock is embossed with the vintage wallpaper EF.

I finished it off with just one basic pearl on the butterfly, (because 14 year old girls are very picky).  I do like how they turned out, and Mackie loved them from the very beginning!  Yeah!  All in all, I felt it was a great first project, but I still have a long way to go to be able to be "fluent" in MDS.

Do you love this idea?  With your $50 purchase, this MDS One Big SAB CD is available.  It includes a lot of brush sets, ribbon, and DSP, so if you do digital, this is the reward for you.  You can shop at my ONLINE STORE 24/7 and the SAB is available on the 24th.  Hope you were inspired today, enjoy!

Paper:  Basic Black, Wisteria Wonder
