Amour for The Paper Players

Today's card is based on the terrific sketch over at The Paper Player's challenge blog, so grab your provisions and play along.  Here is a look at Nance's wonderful sketch:

Layer upon layer is what this card is all about, and attention to each layer is important.  The Paisley Petals DSP is just perfect for this card.  The beautiful flower DSP is all that is needed for a bottom layer.  Of course to give it a little texture, the vintage wallpaper EF was used.

This paper pack has some very distinctive prints, but they all work together.  Simple circle flowers were made and layered upon some crumb cake and pear pizzaz seam binding ribbon for just a bit of leaf effect.  The knotted centers also add a little dimension.  The top horizontal piece of DSP got a little jazzing up from the pinking hearts border punch.

Since there is so much going on in this card, I thought a simple sentiment would work.  The Amour stamp from Artistic Etchings stamp set was just perfect stamped in very vanilla craft ink on a bravo burgundy modern label punch, and pearls finish the sentiment perfectly.

All of these supplies can be purchased through my ONLINE STORE anytime you wish.  Thanks for stopping by, hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Stamps:  Artistic Etchings
Paper:  Paisley Petals, bravo burgundy
Ink:  very vanilla craft ink
tools:  modern label punch, postage stamp punch, pearls, circle punches, seam binding ribbon, pinking hearts border punch, big shot, vintage wallpaper EF
