Spooky Halloween
When I first started thinking about the color challenge, I immediately thought about the pumpkin pie laser cuts in the Flirtatious SDPS pack, so I knew that I wanted to use that, then I saw the sketch and voila, it was perfect.
I wanted to add some dimension to my medallion, so I ran it through the polka dots EF, then sniped it every two scallops, then folded between the scallops and finally curled the edges a bit. I knew that the middle needed something, so out came some retired SU Halloween DSP for just the perfect colors.
This shabby ribbon rose just goes perfect. I found a great video tutorial HERE on how to make this rosette, you could even make it with fabric, which is on my list for my next project. The rich razzleberry ribbon rose is topped of with a lucky limeade printed brad, and a couple of rich razzleberry ribbon curls make it just perfect.
The Spooky sentiment is from Wicked Cool and is heat embossed with black embossing powder. More retired SU DSP is used on the background, and the sentiment circle. So do you like this card? Doing challenges is a great way to stretch your creativity, and when you combine two elements, its almost an instant card. Head on over to www.palspaperarts.com and www.createwithconnieandmary.com to participate in both of these great challenges!
