Be You {tiful}

Hello there!  Have you been enjoying our new format over at the Pals Paper Arts?  I hope you have had a chance to check us out and maybe play a challenge or two.  We are back this week with a new sketch challenge just for you, so grab your provisions and create something fun for your chance to be a PALS pick.

I tried my hand at making my own DSP,  I first started with one of my favorite neutrals from the Pretty Petals DSP pack, simple vanilla and tiny black polka dots.  I used pretty much every flower in the Flower Patch stamp set.  I love the sentiments in that set so I stamped on the bottom using our new basic black ink, for a nice crisp image.

Ahh, have you forgotten about the beauty of the swallow tail butterfly?  It's a huge butterfly, it makes a big impact!  I stamped twice on vellum using versamark, then heat embossed with black embossing powder.  It was super easy to snip out and layer with stampin dimensionals to pop up the top wing.  It is simply stunning!

So I had to have a handy perch for my butterfly to land on so as I was looking through my embossing folders, the woodland TEIF just popped into my hand, and if you do not have it, hold tight, there is a surprise in store for you!

All in all, I am happy with this card, it has a wonderful message after all.  I am still working on random stamping, which is very hard for me to do, but with practice, I hope to get better.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

You've created a gorgeous DSP here, Sandie. Love it! This swallowtail, though, takes the cake. It's amazing! Love your use of this sketch.
