Love, Love, Love You

Hello there!  I hope y'all are enjoying some nice weather, we sure are.  I know outside is the place to be, but make sure you carve out some quality stamping time. To help you do that, the Pals Paper Arts have a fun sketch for you this week, so grab your provisions, create something sketchy and link it up for your chance to be a PALS pick.

Is it Valentine's day, you say?  Nope, I just needed a masculine love you card, and I thought this sketch would be perfect for that.  I grabbed all of my stamps that said "Love," most of which were My Paper Pumpkin stamps and decided that the Label Love stamp set bundle would be the perfect accent.

I manipulated my bitty banner framelits to make them shorter, you can see how this works on my Framelits 101 post.  It's easy to resize them, it just takes some creativity.  Real red 1/8 taffeta ribbon adds a little sweetness without being too girly.

My You stamp is from April's My Paper Pumpkin kit, it was a great fit for this card.  I used the colors real red, strawberry slush, basic black and soft sky for this card.  Both the Stacked with Love DSP stack and the Sweet Dreams DSP were used for my pattern papers.

It's funny how sometimes the simplest (seemingly) cards take the longest!  It looks simple and quick, right?  Not the case, as was pointed out by Mackie's friend, she said "you've been working on that card all along?"  Yes, cards sometimes take time, but that is half the fun!

Both Mackie and Tate have had their summer haircuts, and each got quite a bit cut off.  I have to say as the blonde locks hit the floor, I found it hard to breathe.  Tate by far has the most noticeable change, but Mackie had more cut off length wise.  At least they are done now for a while, and that hair can grow back a while before the next cut.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Fantastic card! Love the way you did the ribbon. It's funny, my husband says the same to me about how long I've spent!
