Hey There!
Hello there! I hope you all are enjoying the new catalog! I love the direction that Stampin' Up! is heading, everything is so fun and trendy. This week over at the PALS Paper Arts we have a color challenge for you this week. This color combo is definitely more masculine, so it will be perfect for your Father's Day projects, so grab your provisions, create something fabulous and link it up.
So what do you do when the old catalog just retired, and the new catalog just started, and you have no new ribbon or DSP? Use your paper and ink! I inked the baked brown sugar on my clear block and stamped as my background. I have seen this many, many, times, but it is the first that I tried it. I love the texture it made, so I immediately grabbed my Gorgeous Grunge Stamp set and went with it!
Have you tried the word bubbles framelits and the matching Just Sayin' stamp set yet? I really love them, very hip and trendy! This pacific point word bubble embossed with the chevron embossing folder is my favorite part of the card. Why, you ask? Because it is stamped in gold only on the raised parts, how cool is that? Simply emboss your bubble first, then lightly stamp, super simple, and it turns out great. Genius, I say, why didn't I think of it before?
This is a nice and easy card, just perfect for that man you need to make a card for, you know, the one that is hard to make a card for (ok, maybe you might want to leave off the gold sequins) the one that doesn't like ribbon. Him, this would be perfect for. So grab your colors and just have fun! Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
