Sweet Birthday
Hello there! Today I am showcasing another Sweet 16 birthday card for the Stampin Royalty challenge blog. The challenge this week is anything Birthday related since it is Stampin' Royalty's 4th birthday. That should make it real easy for you to play along, so grab your provisions, create something fun and link it up at the Stampin' Royalty.
Ahh, strawberry slush and coastal cabana is quickly becoming my new favorite color combo. I love how they work together. Even though there is not any strawberry slush in the Eastern Elegance DSP pack, you can still mix and match other colors in to get the look you like.
I love this double bow, it was cut with my e-cutter. I stamped with the distressed dots stamp and heat embossed it with some retired vanilla scented embossing powder, for a sweet touch.
Of course a sweet 16 card needs a bit of glimmer to it. The letters and numbers were cut with my e-cutter after designing them with MDS. It is super easy to combine the SU digital downloads and have them cut using the e-cutter.
Of course I made a envelope for this card using the envelope punch board since it is in my new favorite card size 5x6 1/2, I however, cannot find my picture of the envelope! The great thing about these big paper bows, is that you can flatten them to fit in an envelope and the bow springs right back up when opened.
I really love how this card turned out, the only problem was that after I made the card, I thought it would be perfect for Mackie's upcoming sweet 16, but since I waited to almost the party time to finish the card, it had to be given. I will just have to put my thinking cap on and figure something better for her, right?! So what do you think? Do you remember back to your sweet 16? I do, so I really want to make these cards special.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
