My Birthday Girl
Hello there! We had a very special day on Friday here at the Conner home, Mackie turned 15! Happy Birthday sweetheart! I don't know where the time has gone, it has flown by. I always try to make a special card for my girl, since she means so much to us. I grabbed the Mojo Monday sketch and went to work.
Mackie always has a color that she favors, currently it is the pool party, or Tiffany blue type of color, so I always build her party favors around that. Primrose petals matches great with those colors, it adds such a pop.
This flower and the tag are part of the pop-up posies designer kit that is on page 18 in the spring catalog. I have only just begun playing with this kit, but I can tell you that I love it. I stamped the oval stamp from Oh, hello on the petals, crumpled them up and added a small scallop punch and topped it off with a snippet of the flower ribbon trim.
More Amore and Comfort Cafe DSP are responsible for the fabulous printed paper. The new needlepoint border embossing folder adds some texture. The primrose petals strip of core'dinations card stock was sanded just as it is. Basic rhinestones add some sparkle.
White heat embossing on black card stock makes quite a statement. This Beautiful Birthday single stamp is so elegant and pretty.
Here is Mackie's card on the Happy Birthday platter, the writing is just about the same, how fun! Mackie did not have a party planned this year since her big present is a trip to Disney World, but of course I will share some pictures of our family party, and a great tip for dressing up gifts. Check back in a few days for that post.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
