Christmas in the Heart
Hello there! It's time for another beautiful color challenge over at Pals Paper Arts. Use these classic holiday colors to create a fabulous card or project and link up to the Pals Paper Arts blog on Thursday, November 29th! It's the last PPA Color Challenge of the year, so you'll definitely want to join in! Can't wait to see what you create!
This Heart of Christmas single stamp 128129 is perfect for a focal point, and at $8.95, you can get a lot of punch for a great price. I made my own scallop rectangle out of the scallop square bigz clear die by only cutting a half, the putting the cut part back into the die on the uncut side to get a rectangle.
My DSP picks are a combo, the always artichoke from the regals designer paper pack, and the crumb cake piece from Comfort Cafe.
I wanted something else along the bottom, and after trying a few ribbons that were too wide, I decided to twist my cherry cobbler and crumb cake seam binding ribbon and braid it with some twisted victoria crochet trim. I think it is my favorite part of the card.
Two die cuts from the snow flurry bigz die make this pretty flower/snowflake. A pretty vintage faceted button was tied with cherry cobbler baker's twine, for that perfect touch.
This card got high praise from Mackie, she really liked it. It is a simple card with a great impact. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
