You Are Fabulous!

Hello there!  Welcome to this week's Stampin' Royalty challenge.  Can you guess what the challenge is this week?  It is a color challenge using Pool Party, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake, so grab your supplies and head on over to Stampin' Royalty and show US what YOU created!

All right, let's start on the background.  I used this paper doily die on one of my AA cards and made it square, so I thought that I would group four of them together to make a background.  I used 2x2 squares and lined them up in the center of the paper doily sizzlit and ran them through one at a time.  I then lined them up as best as I could on a piece of soft suede mat.  I do love the diamonds that the patterns make.  My eye is definitely symmetrical!

Since I had such a pretty background I did not want to cover it up, so even though I am trying to restrain myself with banners, it really was the best fit.  I needed a pretty butterfly to anchor my banner, so out came my new favorites, the elegant butterfly punch and the 1 1/4 scallop circle punch.

The butterfly was first stamped with the papillon potpourri stamp set in soft suede ink then liberally brushed with champagne shimmer paint, can you see the shimmer that it has?  It is so pretty.  Some pool party seam binding ribbon and linen thread give the butterfly some interest.

We were given this great stamp set I AM at convention, this is my first chance using it, I absolutely love the phrases, they are very sweet and caring.  A tiny champagne glimmer heart adds some sparkle to the sentiment.

There you have it, a great card for a great friend, thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Oh I'll not tire of this color pallet! So pretty! Love your doily creation here and your little butterfly is perfect down in the corner not interfering with the stunning pattern at all!
