Pals Christmas Card

Hello there!  It's Pals Paper Arts time with another great sketch by Margaret Moody! Simply create something fabulous using the sketch and be one of the first to link up! The challenge goes live this Thursday, September 20th. What will you come up with?

This sketch to me looked like it would be a great clean and simple (CAS) card.  For this card, I flipped the sketch on it's side and grabbed some great new items and went to work.

This fabulous ornament is made using the new Ornament Keepsakes Bundle.  That's right, it is a Stamp set and matching Framelits at a discounted price!  Wow, I love a discount!

This ornament was stamped first in versamark, then heat embossed with the new early espresso embossing powder.  I then die cut it using the holiday ornaments framelits that are included in the bundle.  Some basic pearls dress up the ornament.

The itty bitty Merry Christmas stamp is from a new hostess stamp set called Mixed Medley, and was stamped in cherry cobbler, then punched out with the 3/4 inch circle punch.  A pretty cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon bow gives my ornament some dressing up.

So what do you think of my background?  This look was achieved by using the new Candlelight Christmas SDSP.  The pack includes flocked window sheets (which is the red overlay), I layered it on top of piece of the lucky limeade DSP that is included in the same pack.

I then layered it on a piece of the cherry cobbler core'dinations card stock.  This new card stock is textured, so even though I didn't sand it, it still is noticeable.  Some more cherry cobbler and pear pizzazz seam binding ribbon add the number 2 layer that is on the sketch.

I also used the delicate designs embossing folder down the side to give my base card stock some definition.  This folder does seem very christmas like.

This card would mail very well since there are not too many layers to it.  The seam binding bow will flatten in the envelope nicely, but still make a nice bow when it is received.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
