Spring Limeade for You
Hello all! Today's card is my "photo inspiration" challenge card for the Stampin' Royalty. Greens, yellows, and oranges are really challenging for me, but I think after some time, I pulled it off. I used the Mojo Monday sketch #235 as well to help me out. Have fun playing along, here are the inspiration photos:
I am going to start my card out here. These are quilled flowers, but they are wrapped around a button. I saw this technique on Valita's Designs, I love her site, and have been a follower for a while now. They are super easy to make, and once you start, its hard to stop (tomorrow's PPA card has a itty bitty one on it). The flag cut lucky limeade cardstock was embossed with the perfect polka dots EF.
This is one of the larger label framelets cut out in so saffron, a small oval EF frame was embossed on the side for my sentiment. The oval stamp has been retired, but the saying is from the Creative Elements stamp set. I punched the sentiment out with the modern label punch and colored some basic pearls to match with permanent markers.
After looking at the inspiration photo, I thought that the Beyond the Garden DSP & Summer Smooches DSP would work the best. Lucky limeade cardstock just matched right along with it. A tangerine tango dotted scallop border breaks up the DSP.
So there you have it, a springy green card. I love to read your comments and questions, so drop me a line. Make sure you stop back by tomorrow for my PPA card, here is a quick peek. Hope you were inspired today, enjoy!
