Simply Sweet

Hello all!  Look at this gorgeous Simply Adorned necklace.  I have had this project for a bit, but only just finished it today.  This was supposed to be a birthday present for Mackie, but with all of the party prep, it did not get finished in time.

I got this Simply Adorned 34 inch chain 116853 on the clearance rack for $5.19!  Mackie likes the longer chains, so I thought it would be a perfect length to dress it up.

I used the very vanilla seam binding ribbon and threaded on a big craft needle, and wove the ribbon through the links of the chain.  It was fairly easy, but make sure you don't snag the ribbon.  The whole chain was done, and the ribbon ends are tied off at the ends of the chain, crystal effects were put on the knots so they would not fray or come apart.

The ribbon flower was made by just sewing a seam on one side of the very vanilla seam binding ribbon and pulling tight.  A large basic pearl was affixed to the center with crystal effects.  I sewed the flower on to the links.  Mackie loves the keys, so the prettiest key from the trinket keys was clipped under the flower, and a black crystal bauble was clipped above the flower.  There are three more keys for her to clip on and off if she wants to.

This is the 1 x 1 1/4 Simply Adorned charm.  It seems big, but when you have to decorate the inside piece, it gets tiny.  The SAB stamp set Fresh Vintage was stamped on whisper white with basic black ink.  The wisteria wonder ruffled ribbon gives a bit of color.  The "M" is stamped from a Merry Christmas stamp (I cannot remember which one).  The back is stamped the same way for a matching look.

Mackie loved the necklace!  I am always surprised in her interest in my hand-made items, I shouldn't be since she crafts right along side of me, but it always makes my heart sing when she loves and appreciates what I make for her.

ALL of these items can be purchased RIGHT NOW in my ONLINE STORE.  I really hope you were inspired today to make your own jewelry, it is much easier than you think!  Remember, SAB is still going on, and if you make a $50 SAB order in my store, you get my card kit for yourself as well!  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!
