Make a Wish Paper Pumpkin

Hello there!  I had to share this month's Paper Pumpkin with y'all!  When I received my July kit, I immediately opened it up and squealed!  I love, love this months kit.  It is chocked full of goodies, take a look at the fabulous card and gift box.

Cute, right!? Now I know that I told you that I usually do the My Paper Pumpkin kits exactly the way the come, but this time, I added a few stamped stars.  Everything I used here comes with the kit with the exception of the soft sky ink pad that I used for the make a wish stamp.  The Wish Big photopolmyer stamp set that is included has TEN stamps, all in great fonts!

UMMM, can you say boo-boo?  Because that is what I did when I stamped the "on a star".  Do not fold your card base before stamping, it is very heavy weight card stock and it bounced open and I got a teeny double image.  So what do you do?  I went to the adhesive sheets that the stars, hearts, and wish was on, picked out a space that was long enough, stamped and cut it out free handed.  I stuck it over my mistake, you would never know.

This blackberry bliss glossy striped gift box is perfect for a small treat.  Its a 3x2 square box that is so sweet. There are a ton of hearts and stars to go on the circle tags.

So here is what is included in this kit:

  • Wish Big Photopolymer Stamp set
  • blackberry bliss classic stampin spot
  • 6 white card bases
  • 1 sheet of border stickers
  • 2 sheets of soft sky stickers
  • 1 sheet of silver foil starts
  • 12 die cut round tags
  • 6 printed boxes
  • white 5/8 satin ribbon (6 yards!)
  • white bakers twine
  • 6 white envelopes
Wow, I think that is a great value for the $19.95 monthly subscription fee!  My Paper Pumpkin is easy to subscribe to, and get this, when you subscribe before September 10, and use the code HALFFOFF2 you will receive your first two months half off! Click HERE to subscribe.

Amazing Birthday

Hello there!  We have a fun sketch for you at the Pals Paper Arts this week.  Grab your provisions, create something "sketchy" then link it up.  Will you be a Pick?  You cannot if you don't try!

This week's card is quick and easy, let your punch and stamp combos do all of the work for you!  The Amazing Birthday stamp set has great images that are just begging to you to stamp and punch.  Layering them up is super easy!  The stamped image is the 1 1/4 circle punch, circle layer is the  1 3/8 punch.  The circles are layered on the label bracket punch.  Melon Mambo, Lost Lagoon, and Wild Wasabi work very well together.

I wanted to use melon mambo and lost lagoon on this card since I just got these two new gorgeous ribbons in my latest order.  You can actually curl the 1/4 cotton ribbon by pulling the backs of scissors very quickly on the ends, fun!

I cannot forget to point out my new favorite embossing folder!  The large polka dot textured embossing folder makes the best background, I love it.

This is a fun, quick, and easy birthday card that will mail pretty easily. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Paper Pumpkin Fun

Have you been thinking about joining My Paper Pumpkin, but still not sure?  I have been a subscriber for the last eight months, and boy do I love the kits.  Let me tell you why!  I love the surprise when I open a new kit, never knowing what will be inside.  For me, most of my projects are pretty complicated and can take a while to create.  Not so with the My Paper Pumpkin, all of the creative work is done for you, you simply open the box and create the project with the materials included in the kit.  No stress, no figuring out what to use, just plain and simple fun, and for $19.95 including shipping, it's a great value for your money.

Sure, I have a lot of stampin' supplies myself, but it's nice just to grab the box, and a clear block and tuck it into a tote to take with me to complete wherever I go (especially sailing regattas).  I love to have the instructions that tell me exactly what to do, step by step.  And to be PERFECTLY honest, I usually always create the project as is, and hardly ever change it up.  Why, do you ask?  Because it's my getaway from the stress of having to always create something new (and fabulous) or coming up with a new trick or technique.  The kits let me get into to the fun of crafting!

I would love for you to try My Paper Pumpkin, and I would love to be your MPP demo.  Here is the link to the My Paper Pumpkin website.  All of my new subscribers will receive a welcome gift from me, email me after you subscribe, and you can PICK your welcome gift.  As well as a monthly free MPP class for local customers, and an online class for online customers.  I will offer suggestions and samples for alternative projects for those who like to shake it up.

If you would like to subscribe, you must do so now!  The deadline for you to receive the July kit is July 10th, so head on over to My Paper Pumpkin and sign up today.  You might need my info, Sandra Conner, zip code 28115 to register.  Thanks so much, you won't be disappointed!

Good Thoughts

Hello there!  We have a great color challenge for you this week over at the Pals Paper Arts.  Take a look at the colors, grab your provisions and create something fabulous.  Link it up at the Pals before Tuesday, to have a chance to be a Pals Pick.

I have been really into the blues lately, and paired with basic gray, it looks stunning!  My favorite part of this card has to be hands down the pool party heat embossed burlap ribbon!  It was super easy, just pat your versamark pad on the ribbon, cover with embossing powder and heat emboss. In seconds you have easily recolored your burlap ribbon to match your project.

I first saw the burlap ribbon die cut with the large scallop framelit on Kimberly Van Diepen's Stampin By the Sea blog, and fell in love with it.  I knew I would have to try it, the ribbon cuts great and looks so pretty.  I embossed then cut, but I'm sure you could do it either way.

And can I say WOW about how the silver foil paper looks after you emboss it with the decorative dots embossing folder?!  The silver foil takes on both the dots and the plastic texture, for a great look!

I found some pool party baker's twine in a past My Paper Pumpkin kit, and tied in a bow through the vintage faceted designer button adds just the right sparkle.  The silver taffeta ribbon is another favorite.

The Perfect Pennants stamp set made it into the big catalog, yay!  I love this stamp set and when paired with the matching banners framelits dies, you cannot go wrong.

The Moonlight paper stack has great patterns and colors, a must have.

So after I took pictures, edited them, sent one to Cindy Hall (love her) I tucked the right edge of the silver ribbon under my sentiment, and loved it more.  Funny how that happens when you step away and come back to it, you come up with different ideas.  Does this happen to you?

I hope everyone has a great Independence day, I am looking forward to the long weekend with family, and of course sailing.  A weekend for us would not be complete without watching Mackie do what she loves.  I really appreciate y'all coming back each post and leaving sweet comments, it's always nice to be loved.  I hope you were inspired, enjoy!

Here are all of the great products that I used on this card, just click on the item for more info!
